DEVLOG 001 / NOVEMBER 06, 2026 / PROJECT NOTES
A name, a direction, and the people in the city.
Welcome to the development journal for Streets of Torment. This is where we’ll share the work behind the game: what’s taking shape, what’s changing, and what comes next.
A city with its own identity
Streets of Torment is a stylized urban open-world game with a city, vehicles, and crime systems. The name sets the mood: a place with friction, danger, and stories waiting around the corner.
The visual direction combines cartoon-influenced shapes with tactile detail. The aim is a world with character, where clothing, accessories, and vehicles help build a distinct identity.

Starting with the people
Current character work explores modular male and female characters, along with a wide range of clothing and accessories. Fictional parody fashion and watch brands are part of that exploration, giving everyday objects a place in the game’s world.
These are character and clothing studies in progress. They’re a way to find the visual language and work through how the pieces fit together. Tattoos and scars are planned as further ways to give characters identity and history.
Next on the workbench: vehicles
The next planned area is vehicle variety and customization. Rims, spoilers, and liveries are on the list. Future notes can show that work as it happens, with a clear distinction between experiments, implemented features, and ideas still on the drawing board.
What this journal is for
Development is a series of choices, revisions, and small breakthroughs. This journal will make those steps visible. Expect updates about character design, clothing, vehicles, and the broader world as there is concrete progress to share.
For now, the project has its name and a direction. Welcome to Streets of Torment.
